This Indenture made this third day of March one thousand seven hundred &
forty nine (inserted "fifty") Between Drury Tucker of the County
of Albemarle party of the one part & Abraham Childers of
the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Drury Tucker
In consideration of the sum of Thousand pounds of good & Lawfull
Tobacco & cash to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby
acknowledge __ granted bargained sold aliened released & Confirm'd &
by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien release & Confirm unto
the said Abraham Childers & his heirs forever one tract
or parcel of Land Lying & being in the County aforesd. Containing
one hundred acres of Land be there more or less and Bounded as followeth
Beginning at a corner pine & white oak and red oak north Sixteen Degrees
East to a corner pine West crossing Rockfish Creek to a pine thence South
Sixteen Degrees crossing Stock fish Creek to pointers thence on a new line
to the first station parting Ezekiah Davidson
& Abraham Childers being part of a Tract of Land that the
said Drury Tucker purchased of Robert
Walton which was granted to the said Walton by
patent To have and to hold the said two hundred Acres of Land together with
all houses gardens orchards fences & all other appurtenances thereunto
Belonging unto the sd. Abraham Childers & his heirs forever
& the said Drury Tucker doth Covenant with the said
Abraham Childers that the said Drury Tucker &
his heirs the above sold land & premises will forever defend unto the
said Abraham Childers his heirs & assigns against all persons
shall & will warrant & forever Defend by these presents In witness
whereof the said Drury Tucker hath put his hand & Seal
the Day & year above written Sign'd Seal'd & Delivered in presence
of us, Mattw. Tucker,
Lucreasha Tucker, Ezekiah
Davison. Signed by Drury Tucker. Memorandum on the
third Day of March one thousand Seven hundred & forty nine fifty Livery
& Seisin of the within sold Land & premises was made & done by
the within named Drury Tucker to the within named Abraham
Childers for presence of us. Mattw. Tucker,
Lucreasha Tucker, Ezekiah Davison. At a Court
held for Albemarle County the eighth day of May 1750. This Indenture &
Memorandum of Livery of Seisin thereon endorsed was acknowledged by
Drury Tucker one of the parties thereto & ordered to be
recorded.
